Theme
As stated in the previous journal, the theme is Mountain Day. In case you haven't been paying attention or you're new, Mountain Day is a new government holiday Japan is celebrating for the first time this year that lets people take a break from their jobs in order to go get closer to nature and hanging in the mountains. So that's what the theme of your drawings will be; enjoying nature and/or a day off.
Instructions
1. Be a member. Non-members will not be allowed to participate.
2. Comment in the journal if you're interested in participating.
3. Get arting!
Rules
1. Fanart, fanfictions, and fan-comic/doujinshi are allowed, but for fanfictions, keep them at a max of 5,500 words. As for fan-comics, keep them constrained to one page only.
2. Keep all entries rated K-T, meaning keep gore to a minimum, and no full on sexual content. All ages of our members must be able to see each entry.
3. This must be a new entry specifically for this contest, make sure that is written in the artist's comments of your deviation.
4. No bases allowed.
5. Absolutely no stolen artwork, or you will be disqualified and kicked out of the group.
6. You may make up to three different entries, one for each of the three categories (I.E. Fanart, Fanfic, Fan-Comic). However, only one of your entries may make the top three.
7. All entries are to be submitted to the "Current Contests" folder by the deadline on July 31st at 11:59:59 EST. I will only make an extension in case of emergencies (I.E. if someone needs just a little more time due to time constraints in RL, or if there are not enough entries near the time of the deadline.)
8. You may contain other characters(official or otherwise) in your submission, but Hidan and Mountain Day must be the main focus. The more unique and creative you are at representing Mountain Day, the better.
Voting Rules
1. Voting will be done via notes by members to the group. Voting will open up as soon as I announce it in the group journal.
2. I ask that voters read any and all fanfiction carefully, before placing their votes. Sometimes writing can paint more powerful imagery than a picture.
3. When voting, label the note "vote" and in the body, simply give the title of the entry and the link to it.
4. Entrants may vote, but not for themselves to keep things fair.
5. Entrants are not allowed to publicly or secretly recruit voters to vote for them. Equally important is for all voters to disregard all popularity or friendship towards and entrant, and to vote simply for the piece that has been best executed artistically and creatively while also following the theme they were given. Entrants discovered to be recruiting voters may be disqualified.
6. Voting will take place for two weeks, or as long as it takes to get enough votes in to declare a clear top three winners.
